Tarts

The south of France is known for its tarts. Saint Tropez even has its own brand - the tarte Tropezienne. It's their equivalent of a bit of crumpet, but it's a bit too obvious, I find. For something more sophisticated, head to the fabulous Patisserie Coste in Cassis. Even though I went for the orange curd tartelette, there wasn't a fake tan in sight.
